Instructors - Nuclear Power (Electrical)

Seeking experienced Nuclear Power Instructors (Prior Navy Nuclear & Industry experienced candidates desired). (ELECTRICAL)

Premium compensation with certification or SRO license.

The Operations Instructors will perform analysis of issues related to the Training of Operations personnel, and design, develop, and implement training, as appropriate.
 
Typical responsibilities include: driving station and personnel performance improvement through the use of training;
  • Coordinating and conducting performance-based operations RO/NLO training programs as required in accordance with plant department procedures, and with proper application of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases
  • Assuring the training programs are maintained current and incorporate information gained from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports and NRC Circulars, Bulletins, and Information Notices, plant design change and modification information, plant procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports
  • Preparing trainee examination and conducting trainee evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments, as appropriate; conducting counseling sessions for trainees, evaluates the results, and recommending /developing individualized training programs; and performing other duties and responsibilities as required
  • Participating in NRC, INPO and management audits, and preparing responses to audit findings; maintaining knowledge of plant operations, disciplinary skills and techniques, in order to develop and conduct effective, high quality training.
Requirements:
This position requires previous Nuclear Instructor experience.
 
Other requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business, or appropriate technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
 
  • Typically possesses five years experience in designing and developing technical training courses.
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge of and experience with integrated plant operations.
  • Knowledge of current industry practices and regulatory standards (i.e., INPO, or NRC) as they apply to the training of Operations personnel.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, or updating training courses.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct needs assessment and job/task analysis to determine scope of training.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting/facilitating training courses, determining pass/fail criteria and remediation/coaching paths.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to clients' business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to validate and accurately analyze information, and make sound decisions that have considerable business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, management, and vendors to successfully meet shifting needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate self and others to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.
 Compensation varies based of qualifications and experience.
